My goal was to create a short yet fun race-against-the-clock game. I aimed to make it high intensity, as I wanted the player to feel the pressure that the driver was under. The world of GrubDash is a cruel one; unemployment is at an all-time high, and the driver is one bad delivery from losing it all; I wanted the player to feel invested in the story of the world. 

I started the project by drawing a digital layout, and once I had created a layout I was happy with, I began whiteboxing it in unity. After that, I started applying art assets, particle effects, and sound assets to really polish the game. Lastly, I playtested and tweaked the level based on feedback. Finally, when the majority of bugs were fixed and the assets all imported properly, I published my game. 

One of the biggest challenges was dealing with the colliders. I encountered glitches with the player's car where it would bounce wildly off the stationary cars; luckily after shrinking the size of the collider the glitch was patched. Additionally, I was constantly tweaking the player's speed as well; I didn't them to go so fast that they could easily lose control, but not so slow that they became bored.
