The potential UI for a game called Doggy Destruction.

By Jasmine Mitchell

IMPORTANT: The game is ideally played via the download option.  Certain sound effects in the WebGL version are either very faint, or lower in pitch than intended. I'm not sure why that is happening, sorry about that!

In the game view scene press:

E to eat

Q to use your ult

ESC to open and close the pause menu

To see the win screen, eat 26 times

To see the lose screen, wait for the time to run out

All UI art assets and animations were created by me. While I did not create the sound effects, I was in charge of implementing them via code and Unity's editor. Additionally, I was in charge of scripting all interactions.

The goal of the project was to create fun and highly interactive UI for a nonexistent game. I wanted the game to have a very lighthearted, playful feel to it. Since puppies are so cute, cuddly, and energetic, I wanted the UI to reflect that. Making sure that the UI was bug-free was extremely important as well.

One of the biggest challenges I encountered was handling all the scripting required to complete the UI. Code is not my strong suit, but I'm happy to say I persevered. I remember particularly struggling with making sure that every button took you to the correct scene and making sure that the pause button actually paused the game timer.

I started the development by creating wireframes for All my various screens. Once I had my layouts planned out, I began creating them in unity and importing my art assets. Once everything was laid out, I began scripting and animating the interactions. Once everything was functioning, I began playtesting over and over to iron out all the bugs.
